Our Early Help service works closely with families in Sunderland to provide the right level of support at the right time. We are here to support you with any concerns about your children, your family and your home circumstances.
There are five Family Hubs across Sunderland which provide free services, events and advice to families, offering the right support, at the right time, in the right place, with the right people. Support is available to families of children aged up to 19, or to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) aged up to 25 at the Family Hubs.
Lumi Nova is a free therapeutic mobile game to help 7-12 year olds learn to self-manage their fears and worries. It is available to children and families across Sunderland and provides a fun, safe and engaging way for children and young people to tackle their worries head on so they can build resilience, gain confidence and thrive.
Kooth provides free, safe and anonymous mental health and wellbeing service, providing online counselling and support for children and young people aged 10 to 25 years old in Sunderland.
