Independent Travel Training

Independent travel logo
Independent Travel Training (ITT) exists for young people who have Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND). It provides them with vital skills and confidence to travel safely between home and school, as well as in the wider community.

Watch our video below to see the benefits of Independent Travel:

How?

We know that travelling independently may be a big step for yourself, your family and parents/carers, our trainers work with young people on a 1-2-1 or small group basis within school/college. Training includes personal safety, road safety and journey planning. Trainers will complete a number of real-life routes which will be phased out over time as and when the individual is ready.

Our trainers will recommend Life360 app to help give parents and carers peace of mind during travel training process.
